Cannot login into one of my Steam accounts: "Could not connect to the Steam network."

So, like a lot of Steam users I have multiple accounts. Recently I was playing Payday 2 on one of these accounts and I could not see my achievements. So I thought "I'll just restart Steam and get on with my life." Well unfortunately for me I can no longer log into that account. It is not an internet issue because I can still log into ALL of my other accounts it is specifically this one that I cannot log into. This is also all on the same computer. I have looked at other forum posts and this problem still persists. The closest I came to fixing it was one fix where you delete all files in the steam folder except for the Steam.exe and the SteamApps folder. I did that but then when I tried to log in I was greeted by a new message "Steam is having trouble connecting to the Steam servers." And I was given the option to retry or cancel.

I just do not get it.... This account does not have steam guard enabled. Whenever I try to log into this account through the steampowered.com website the request just times out and nothing happens. I have seen other people fix it by doing the whole remove all files except apps and the exe then they start it in offline mode then go online and its fixed. But the worst part for me is that I cannot even go into offline mode because I cannot get past the, "Steam is having trouble connecting to the Steam servers." with the log in client. While I could understand this being an issue with my own internet or Steam server problems I can connect to all of my other 4 accounts perfectly fine with no problems whatsoever. Any help is appreciated I will keep trying solutions that I find and post if it becomes fixed. Thanks

EDIT: It appears I am not alone with this issue as there is another topic just like this a few threads below this one in the Help and Tips section. This might be attributed to me participating in the new streaming beta on my account that I can no longer log into. However I deleted all the steam files and I can still log into my other accounts so I cannot grasp how this might be relevant but I thought I would share it anyway.

Mach dir nichts drauß, stell dir mal vor, du musst solch riesige Server stämmen, da geht auch nicht alles perfekt, die müssen dann auchnoch ihre Techniker bereit halten, sowie müssen die dann erstmal die Fehler finden, verständnis hab ich da allemal. :)

Ich weiß welcher Druck dahinter stämmt. Was mich nur aufregt ist die Tatsache, dass einfach nichts kommt seitens Steam. Nicht mal ein announcement oder sowas.

You cant fix it. It worked for the first 2 hours or something and after that the TCP server died as well.
You have to wait. Like everyone else. Server problems.

thanks for the reply's guys, as i said just knowing I'm not the only one is reassuring - the more people that post saying they have the same issue's the better! Not only does it make me feel better, it might also motivate the Steam tech support to take notice.

Naja, das problem wiederum da ist, nicht jeder ist davon betroffen, dann finden die es sinnlos, Solche announcements zu machen. Einfach abwarten, und dann klappt wieder komplett alles.

Can't log in to my own account using steam cilent...

Currently I can't log in to my own account using steam cilent, but when I tested with my friend's account, it worked. I keep encounter the connection error about "could not connect to steam server" when connecting with my account. But I don't understand why I cound able to log in with my friend's account with any problem. I already tried reinstall steam cilent, change password, reset router, disable/ reset firewall... but nothing seems to work. When I try to summit a support ticket, it was telling me that the server is down for maintainance... Anyone have a suggestion or help?

@Saibot u need to edit the post, say that it doesnt work anymore the TCP Fix, so Steam Supports will know its still not being fixed
