So Counter strike source was on sale, so i bought it. then it tells me i bought a Guest pass? WTH!!!!

I can see it in your list of owned games so everything looks OK from here. It may have just been a Steam glitch giving you the wrong message - have you tried starting the game up yet?

No, it was in the weird inventory thing. but its still confusing me.

When you buy the game you get a free guest pass to gift to a friend.

Was it just a pop up that stated you got the Guest Pass? It could be that purchasing the game gave you a guest pass (inventory item) to send to someone else as a bonus.

ya, i checked my inventory. and it said that. i think i get it now. thanks you 3. but if i gift it to a friend, it it theirs forever, or is it like a demo?

Guest passes are temporary, meaning they can play the full game for a few days. It should say how long, I think it's 3 days or so.
