Far Cry 4 Foliage Shadow Flicker

Hey all, bought Far Cry 4 a few days ago despite all the errors I had read about and initially the game ran very well. I got through the entire opening cut-scene and the escape with decent frame rate and no real visible problems. However, upon being released into the world from the car accident the trees/bushes/foliage have massive black patches that flicker and move like they are supposed to be dynamic shadows. It would be fine if it didn't take up a good 90% of the plant and a good portion of my screen. Its so bad looking I haven't bothered to play further. I have tried every combination of settings I can think of and I have switched between directx9 and 11 but have yet to find a fix. Before anyone asks yes, I verified the integrity of my game cache and updated my drivers. I'm starting to think that the game might just need another patch but I wanted to see if anyone had found a fix to be sure.
Currently using an Nvidia GeForce 770x with 16gb ram and an Intel i5 processor.

All i did was install the 44.11 drivers and the flicker went away. I did lose some performance. Im running 2 970 gtx SSC in SLI.
