How to sync iTunes with Steam Music
As many of you may know, you cannot directly sync your iTunes library with Steam music.

Steam music as of now only supports MP3 audio files, and most songs on iTunes are imported in the MP4 format. However, there is a way to get around this.

1. Open iTunes
2. Press alt
3. Click "Edit"
4. Click "Preferences"
5. From there, General>Import Settings
6. Import using: MP3 encoder
7. Right click any given track in your library, and click "Create MP3 version"

This may take some time depending on how many songs there are in your library (I'm still working on it myself), as you have to do this one at a time, but from there Steam should be able to find all of your MP3 files in your iTunes folder. Hope this helped!

hold shift and click the last song in your library from the long list and it selects every track.
Can someone explain to me how you do it the other way around? (i.e transfer steam music to iTunes library?)

All you need to do is drag and drop them into an open iTunes instance. iTunes will automatically copy them into the correct places.
