COD AW - I got 2 "installs" on Steam
Hi..

I purchased the COD AW key and now on Steam I have the :
- Call of DuTy Advanced Warfare
-Call of Duty Advanced Warfare Multiplayer

So can I install the 2 of them?
Since I only play in multiplayer mode I just install the MP ?

I'm able to install the 2 ?

Yea you can install both. There are two seperate installs for the campaign and the multiplayer but I believe you can install one or the other and they will work independently of one another. Hopefully someone else confirms.

Well I can confirm the install COD AW Multiplayer has about 36GB
The install of COD AW has about 6GB

What does it means?
Multiplayer has more than the story or does the 36GB also includes story and MP
and the other one only includes the story?

Well I can't be sure since I have not played it but COD games have had short campaigns since MW. I doubt a 4 hour campaign can take up most of the data the game is made up of. I am willing to bet most of the game data is in multiplayer which is what most of the game is about. Makes sense.

TL;DR: In my opinion. Yes, one includes the story and the other is only the multiplayer.

Because that is most of the game. Try installing it man. I bet it will work without the single player installation.

So If I want to play SP I have to install that 6GB right? I never play SP but well I want to understand.

Yup. You should be able to leave it uninstalled for now if you want to play that another time. That is kind of a bonus for PC gamers. Keeps the part you don't want off your hard drive.

Ok .
I'm new in Pc game also in windows .. long time using iMac and I bought a Pc game 1 week ago so thats why I'm confused never install any game.

No problem. Pro tip for ya. If your hard drive is filled with too many games..... it will affect performance in your games. That is why we got that cool little option. Welcome to PC land. Have fun.

Well .. when I DL BF4 it does not let me choose what to install. I have to download all the file.
Not like COD that gives me that option.
Because that I got confused

Yea, there actually aren't all that many games that give you the option. COD is probably one of the only ones I can think of. Still, cool that people get it. You're Welcome.

Yes this option os very good.
Give us the choice to install the format we usualy play.
As I never play SP I dont waste time to isntall that format and also keep my hdd "clean"

Funny, I installed it the other way around. First SP than the MP and SP was 40gyg and the MP was 2gyg for me. It seems that some files are used for both versions and some are not, which does actually sound pretty much not surprising...

I think its weird the MP has 46GB well is just multiplayer
and the story only 6GB...

They share a lot of files. You just happened to install MP first and then SP.
