Trading For Real Money
Hey I have got a few skins on CS:GO and a few of my friends have asked to buy them of me for real money and me being the person that I am wanted to check that i am not violating any terms of service with steam.

I have read through the Terms of service a little and can not find anything on selling for real money can someone help me please is it okay to sell skins for real money or is it only allowed for trading and selling on steam market?

You aren't violating terms of service but if you are being scammed (if your friends accounts have been hijacked), if they send you to a site where you end up with your account hijacked, or they start the trade and stop the transaction so you lose your stuff and get nothing for it...you are on your own, Steam probably won't try to get your stuff back. Trading items for cash is a scam that is big for Steam stuff right now, so chances are you will lose your trade and possibly the rest of your inventory too.

And you can't trade for cash within the Steam system, so if your friend is telling you you can, it's a definite scam.

Selling for real money outside the Community Market is an SSA violation.

I don't see where it is a violation, but it is asking for trouble.

That's not the Steam Subscriber Agreement (SSA).

Still can't find cash trades are a violation. TheButteryGamer, you read it and decide.

You CAN do w/e you want but be aware if anything goes wrong, and even with rl friends it happens, you have no recourse under the trading policy or the SSA.

Software are games in your library. Those can't be sold or traded.

The Agreement refers to ALL items on Steam including transferable ones. You do not have a license to sell outside of Steam for actual money. Period. Your account can get permanently disabled, not suspended, if you get caught.

Again you can choose to do w/e you want to do. No one here can stop you but if something happens, Support won't help because you went outside the system.
