Why can't I use Paypal balance no more for adding funds and buying games? [SOLVED]

So Back then,I was able to use my Paypal balance to make purchases on steam,but that stopped and I don't know why.When I try to make a purchase,it leads me to add credit card information. I clearly have enough money for making purchases.Why is this happening? Please someone respond.

Solution: Uncheck the "save information for next time" when buying a game with paypal

Wow,I found the answer.So for the people who don't know, this how you do it:


1.Under your Paypal balance, there is something called "Selling tools".In that section,click on "Seller preferences".

2.After you click that, it will lead you to a page where you can update your permissions and stuff. Go to the "Getting paid and managing my risk" and then on the right side it's going to say "Update" Click on it.

3.Once you get to a page with multiple choices, you'll see the first option "Allow payments sent to me in a currency I do not hold:". Go and mark " Yes, accept and convert them to U.S. Dollars. Additional charges apply." This will allow Steam to let use your paypal balance for making purchases.

I have the same problem I did what you have said but it still tries to make me enter a card number after i sign into paypal.

are you sure you have enough funds because tax may go on.

Im trying to add 10$ from my paypal balance to steam and currently have $130.47 in balance

Go to settings and go to payment settings and click edit. Deselect "choose a payment method" option.

Okay I did that still not working atm :/ So this is what I do.
1. Click add funds
2. Please select payment method.
3. Theres 2 choices My PayPal or PayPal. Tried them both, still no solution.
4. Takes me to redirection of PayPal page and asks to sign in.
5. I sign in and and automatically says add a card to complete purchase.

My account > profile > view or edit my profile > my selling tool > manage risk

I found way to fix it. Steam does not allowed u to add fund because u dont have enough money in that currency in paypal balance eg i have 100€ but i adding fund in steam as 100$ so steam does not allowed u to add fund even u have enough money in other currency.

In order to fix this, u have to go to currency converter

On the right hand side, u can choose to exchange the currency to currency steam want. After that steam will allowed u to add fund via steam balance.
