HAD STEAM ACCOUNT IN 2004, WANT TO PLAY HALF LIFE 2 GAME BUT CANT.
WHEN I TRY TO LOG INTO STEAM WITH THE ACCOUNT I HAD IN 2004,IT WILL NOT LET ME,IF I MAKE A NEW ACCOUNT, IT WILL NOT LET ME REGISTER MY GAME SO I CAN PLAY....ALL I WANT TO DO IS PLAY MY HALF LIFE 2 GAME!!!!

Your caps lock is on. As for the account issue. We need more information if you are going to get help other than it won't let you.

Sorry, when i installed steam, and tried to put my account info from 2005,it will not let me log in, comes back saying it cannot connect to steam, so i made a new account and tried to register the Half Life 2 game again and it will not let me, Like i stated,this game was bought and registered in 2005.sorry it was not 2004

Ok. Steam won't let you transfer games to different accounts. If you still have the email address you should be able to request a new password or something. I think you should try to get that old account open.

And i do own the game, owned it since 2005,have a CD key and everything

How do i get the old account open, I dont have the email address anymore ....such a bummer!!!

Right. That CD key will be attached to the old account though. That is why I suggest to try to retrieve it. You won't be able to activate that copy on another account.

Contact Steam Support, they're the only ones who can retrieve a lost account.

Thanks for the Information, been wating 4 days now and i have not received an Answer from Steam.....so frustrating.........

ROFLBO, well i have been layed up with an arm injury and have all kinds of time now, LOL
and they have contact me know and are working on the problem......
