What's my processor equivalent?
I have a AMD A4-5000 APU with Radeon HD 1.50ghz in my laptop.
But what is the Intel and Desktop AMD processor that is its equivalent?

Probably nothing. You would find a equivalent in the 1st generation of Sandy Bridge, back in 2011, even there probably only in the i3 level.

Even cheaper Intel CPUs like i3 (Sandy Bridge 2, Ivy Bridge, Haswell) or the latest Pentium G series will blow it out from the water with 3-4x overall better score in various benchmarks.

That CPU is too weak for modern gaming. By AMD A8 is the minimal, A10 or FX series is the optimal for gaming purproses. Otherwise if you can afford, go team Intel. Their core technology is 2 years ahead of AMD.

Although with lack of funds, probably now I would go for a AMD-A10, some games simply demand 4 cores, and Intel let that to be paid.

Thanks, but suprisingly I've played a couple of recent games with little lag on medium like Tomb Raider13, Payday 2. But I'll take your word and not to play newer games untill i get a better processor or a new computer Really helps alot.

The most important thing is the graphics card, if you have that a good one, it can be compensated for the weaker CPU.

Also, a lot depends on which resolution and details you play.

There are many factors to look at that any component in your computer can cause performance loss, example: slow memory vs fast CPU can cause a performance loss

6gb ram (5.44 usable)
apperentlty my graphics is AMD Radeon HD 8330 im not sure tho
i usually play at low to medium everything

AMD extremly benefits from fast RAM (1600 or more) with high Mhz and low latency (9)
It can compensate their weak L2 cache and the lacking L3 cache what is much better designed by Intel CPU's.

By what AMD always wins, is that the integrated Radeon is far better as any Intel HD graphics.
Still not on the level of a dedicated GPU though.

In terms of games from 2013/2014/whatever comes in those months:

If I take only the CPU I would say 3/10, and if the APU then 4/10. Sorry, but if I compare you to regular players here who have i5 and a GTX 970, it comes out just poorly.
