evolve closed beta downloaded but won't play because of missing .exe

i don't understand how this is an issue. why doesn't it just download with the .exe? i verified the files and everything is okay. dafuq do i do?

Most betas are a weekend long. I'm personally suprised it lastes 'til today. The download was available since friday morning, tho (as far as I know).

Oh maybe, im just going by the email i got an hour ago, it says Come February 10th, you’ll get more than this small taste of 4v1 action and we can’t wait for you to join us!. I know the last beta just finished.

Internet speeds are your own issue to deal with and most isps offer high speed packages. Mine downloaded in about 20 minutes.

holy crap. i live in the middle of nowhere so it took days. i have the fastest package for where i live.

Yeah there isnt much you can do other than work out how long its going to take to download and how long beta tests last for. If it's just a weekend long test and it takes you 2 days to download it then just consider skipping that test.

Evolve beta...

I received a code for Evolve closed beta. I installed the game via steam, went to play and i got "Failed to Start Game (Missing Executable)" So i followed all instructions to solve this issue-WHICH IS STILL UNSOLVED.... I followed "Flushing your steam application files" and now when I open steam to try Evolve beta again - it tells me i have to purchase it. I put in my beta activation code and it tells me this account already has that product.. It's in my downloads, it's already installed onto my desktop. What the heck is going on and how do i fix this? Why is there no option to play, only an option to purchase the game, that i've already pre-ordered.
