Questions on Steam wallet funds on Philippine Peso Currency

is it possible to purchase USD Steam wallet funds here at my country(Philippines) and it will just convert into peso currency after I redeemed my wallet funds in USD? Thanks in advance.

Is it possible to have thirld world prices in the Philippines? It's a thirld world country and since the conversion, the prices looks intimidating and kinda turns people off from buying.

Plus the prices are all over the place.

Why not also round up the prices. Instead of 1,239.95
Make it 1,240

It's very very confusing, hopefully prices are less so that more people would be willing to buy. If it's the same price as the U.S. or even more. Then what is the point? Remember though that Philippines is a thirld world country, full of corrupt officials.
Prices should go down not increase.

Prices are better now, take a look at Skryim. It's priced at P499.95 which should be priced at 884.96 if steam price are followed ($19.99).

It depends on the game. AAA studios are more likely to try to reduce cross region trading by making the USD price as close tot he native currency one. Or popular games like DayZ have been carefully priced to match USD pricing in the new regions.

Otherwise the 'standard' Steam conversion rate is generally favorable to the new regions in South East Asia

^ Shadow of Mordor, Alien Isolation, Lords of The Fallen and Evil Within are Triple A titles IMO, and it's priced well.

Ubisoft/Activision etc. Games however are priced the same and maybe higher. Hopefully it would change eventually, but we'll wait and see.

If you're interested in those titles you might want to pick the m up at the 'cheaper' rate. Shadow of Mordor's price jumped in Australia to $90 USD recently. So they might 'price adjust' the game back up to $49.99 USD equivalent in the future

I have heard that EU and AU prices are getting reamed, they are rich countries though so they are being taken advantage of. I am happy with the price change now in the Philippines. More people would definitely buy more games, specially on Holiday Sales.

It's just those select titles that still sells their games way too high in thirld world countries, and even higher on opulent ones.

Prices on newer games should be fixed. It's confusing.

Game piracy will definitely go down in the Philippines. Imagine a game one year old when it goes on sale for as much as 75% for only P50.00 - that's like taking a candy from a baby.

I don't like this at all. My Paycheck comes in as USD in PayPal. From my own perspective when I buy games or other software that are in PHP, I lose more since when I withdraw via PayPal it's much lower than the standard conversion so when I pay via Peso on my USD money I lose more -_-. This is a bad radical change for me.

No, let's say this for example. I have $70 on my PayPal account (not in Peso but in USD), PayPal converts it to roughly P2975 (I converted it to $1 = P42.50 because that's roughly how much I get or lower when I withdraw it to my Local Bank).

So, If I buy let's say Naruto Shippuden UNS Revolution. The price right now is P3090. I pay MORE. Not to mention the DLCs which are priced P95 each (those are only $1.99) they transferred it to at least P47 per Dollar! So it's not really a win for me. I can only buy Steam products now via other means like HumbleBundle or g2a(I haven't tried this one before). It's sad :/

Some prices however are just ridiculously overpriced in the Philippines, like this Software.

I know right, I'll just have to see if the game I want will be up on sale from other means then I'll buy it there since they'll accept my dollar since Steam doesn't want to.
