USB wired mouse problems
I have two gaming mice that will not move the cursor on the screen, or sometimes the cursor will disappear. I'm pretty sure this is a windows 8.1 bug, but I'm not sure. The mice came with no drivers, their just plug and plays. I tried fn + every f key, and it didnt work. I tried just using the f keys by themselves and it didnt work. I tried trouble shooting, and a few other things too. The only mouse that works is a darth vader mouse thats wireless and installed its self when I plugged in the wirless usb chip into the port. The two gaming mice I have are the Levetron GM2000 gaming mouse and the CM Storm devestator. Please to zGod help even though this isnt related to steam! youtube nor the microsoft website was able to help!

Could it be possible that the wireless dongle for your wireless mouse is overriding any other mouse?

While both mouses are plugged in, Have a look in your Device Manager and see what is in there, then report back.

I assume your wireless mouse still works with the wired mouse plugged in?

The problem started before I got the wireless mouse, I'm borrowing it from my friend because the other two wont work. I only play with mouse at a time, but I'll look into the device manager with both mice plugged in anyway

Ok, are they new? like, never used before?
Or are they used, used to work, but no longer work?
I plugged both in and the only thing that came up whern I pressed on the mouse tab was My touch pad. Their about 6 months used.

Ok, so you are using a laptop, not that that should matter.

In device manager, have you tried scanning for hardware changes?

Recent windows version after XP, generally have drivers available for common devices so no need to install from a disk or download.

If possible, can you upload a screen shot of your device manager window?
