So what it sounds like is your friend got phished, not you. You were just unfortunate enough to let him have your gun for the match.

^^^^^^

OP, your friend owes you some gear...
whats phished , his account was set to private

Jesus. Google it.

You lent your items to your friend. He lost them regardless of reason. He owes you. Tell him to pay up.

Well, technically he owes him nothing.

This user gave away his items. As far as Steam is concerned that's it.

Now, the other user who received the items was apparently tricked into giving away his items. That user must contact Steam Support and see if there is anything they can do to the other user recover the items.

The company isn't letting it happen. The users are.

You give away your item. Your friend is tricked into giving away his items.

Oh, I agree that Steam has no blame here. I'm just saying this "friend" should be responsible for the items, opening a ticket with Steam, and cleaning up his incompetence.

Are you even old enough to be playing games here? I seriously question your age given that nonsense response.

You gave your items to your friend. He gave them away by being a fool, naive, or uninformed. YOUR FRIEND IS TO BLAME.
my friend did not give them away, we were in a game.. i was sat next to him, someone open a trade he was un aware of... how is that his fault , he didnt press accpet..he didnt even get a trade option.
