CS 1.6 sound problem
Hello. i have an Alienware Aurora R4 with CREATIVE SOUND BLASTER RECON3D PCIe and Windows 7 - 64 bit. Since i bought this computer i have same problem with my sound ONLY when i play Counter Strike 1.6. The sound just randomly stops (it can be after few seconds or 1 hour or etc) just when i play CS 1.6 and then i have no sound at all (youtube, winamp, nothing is working). The volume shows me that the sound is working but i can't hear anything and i have to restart the computer, then the sound is working again. I dont know what the problem could be since it's happening only with CS 1.6. Other games are working perfectly. Anyone got an idea please ?

P.S: my drivers are up to date, i even reinstalled the windows. I also checked the windows volume and if its enabled - all is fine but still same problem

Same issue, sound stops after a random amount of time, killing ALL sound in Windows (external to the game, no sound works). I try to stop / start the audio service, try to reconfigure sound settings, but nothing seems to get the audio back.

The only fix so far is to reboot Windows. This doesn't happen in any other game.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
