Mouse clicking delay in ALL games. NEED help.
Hello all! I have been experiencing mouse (clicking) delays in all my PC games. It must be something with my computer (ASUS), but I have no idea what it is or how to fix it. So, for example, while in a shoot'em up game, I can shoot when standing still, but I can't shoot while running. Other than this, the games runs perfectly fine. I have tried uninstalling Steam and the games. However, this doesn't work. The mouse lag is still there. I have Googled it , but haven't found anything helpful. This mouse delay doesn't seem to happen any other time besides while playing games. I don't think it has anything to do with mouse sensitivity settings (because the mouse moves fine...its just the clicking). I usually use a wireless mouse, but to make sure it wasn't my mouse I tried a wired mouse. NO difference...still a delay in clicking. I changed the battery in the mouse and the internet connection is good. The games look amazing (pretty much HD), but this clicking delay really is pissing me off now.

I play on an ASUS laptop and it's a Windows 8.1 (PC). It's a new laptop. Please help. I hope it's an easy/simple solution because I'm not experienced in this sorta stuff.

Thanks so much. Look forward to hearing tips.

We need a bit more information about your laptop and the games you have the issue with.
Does this happen outside of games too?

For me it sounds like a low FPS issue. Games may look nice, but that doesn't mean they run nice.
It doesn't happen outside of games. It happens in all my games (even the ones I didn't get from Steam). Left 4 Dead 2, Red Orchestra, Visera Cleanup Detail, Chilvery, Call of Duty, etc.

What info about my laptop do you need? The games run fine...just the left clicking is delayed.
And what are FPS issues? And how do you fix it? Thanks.

CPU, RAM, videocard, Windows version would be the absolute minimum.
FPS means frames per second, the more the better. 60FPS would be ideal for your laptop as it's the same as the refresh rate of your display.
Low FPS causes lag and delay.
I need more details to be able to tell you if it's a FPS issue or not and what can be done.
