Bet on Soldier Trojan?
I could never get the original game, installed with the CD's to cooperate with me, so I've recently purchased and installed Bet on Soldier through the steam application.
Upon turning my machine on this morning, I receive an AV pop-up saying that "D:\Program Files\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\Bet On Soldier\BoS.exe" was quarantined because it was a Trojan.Gen.2.
Has anyone else run in to this issue?

If its from steam, upload the file to virustotal to let them check.
And inform your antivirus company about the false postive.

I just got this same warning from AVG when installing, it removed the entire .exe file. Want to know if it is safe to play or not.

It was only 25 seconds between restoring the file and the time it would get flagged again, so I had to act fast to accomplish this; I restored the .exe file and created an exception within my antivirus software.
I have played it for a few hours since then with zero issues.
...no idea what is in the coding of the exe file, but it definitely seems to be a false-positive.

Thank you very much for the reply, makes me feel a hell of a lot better about running it!

Dude, I got a similar problem through Sniper demo and Chivalry free-to-play, even though I had downloaded the files for these off of Steam like last year!!! All of a sudden yesterday BitDefender decides to scan the files for these games, and finds that a trojan existed within them! I was like, "This can't be." I believe it is just as others explained above: the antivirus programs pick them up as Trojans because the file types are basically unknown to them, and they are false positives. Hopefully you don't run into any other situations where you ACTUALLY have a trojan!!!

It's the only thing in my antivirus with an exception. Being a network and security admin I'm not going to just let anything run without testing it out first.
What's weird is that I remember it doing this when I had BoS installed YEARS ago from the CDs too.
