Adding a Friend?
How on earth do you add a freaking friend? I can't find a how to on the steam support website and I've googled it but everything just says what I already know.

From Steam I click on the bottom on the friends pane and hit add a friend. When I type in the name of the friend it gives me about 200000 results, none of which are even remotely similar.

If I try their steam name it gives no results.

Why can't I figure this out?

Account names are different from profile names, millions of users...guess enough to confuse the search function.
URL works best.

using the URL is just so intuitive and obvious.
