Is "Hi bro do you need it?" a virus link?
Someone named *REMOVED* sent me a profile message saying "Hi bro do you need it? captures-web screenshot (I'm not posting the exact link since Steam said it was spam)"
I googled it and this exact message is on a ton of profiles, is it a virus link? Just google "steam hi bro do you need it captures-web screenshot?" and you'll see what I mean

Without seeing it, no-one can say, but as it has been blocked it's pretty safe to assume that it is.
Sounds like a classic .scr worm link.

What's that? Explain it to me, do I have the virus? All I did was copy and paste it in google, I didn't paste it into the url
he said worm , thats a worm not a virus.
does it matter they are both unwanted.
Sounds like you didnt download any files right? Didn't run them either? If yes, you are fine.
A script masked as screensaver or screenshot. Make a complete system scan with Malwarebytes.

Also make sure to return the favor to your "bro" and report the person.
it is is fine up to a point , clearly not doing regular malware scans.

What do you mean?
A scan never hurts. I don't even trade and still doing it regularly.

How should I scan and when?
part of online computer life.

when it comes down to it I rather people run malwarebytes one time a week than have a virus scanner updated on there sytem.

works better in my world.

trust avast to keep you clean for a week than use a real malware scanner to check.

Is it safe to have Malwarebytes and Avast running at the same time? Avast is a antivirus and antispyware
yes it is those are second opinion malware scanners.
I have never seen a real good residential virus scanner like avast norton mcafee.
they all allow crap to pass in my world.

no need for the pro trial uncheck that box.

hitman pro also helped me clean some systems good but you can only use it free one month but worth to give it a run.
just need to enter an email pretty simple.
