An Alternative To Hamatchi That Can Run A GMOD Server?
I'm having issues with finding an alternative way of setting up a Garry's Mod server without Hamatchi. I used to use Hamatchi to set up what I believe is called a VPN (Virtual Private Network) with my friend so we can play multiplayer Garry's Mod together.

Trouble is, Hamatchi is really expensive now and I can't afford to pay $99 dollars a year for the service, so is there an alternative to Hamatchi that's free? If so, how would you set up a Garry's Mod server using this alternative?

Any help would be great.

Go to the G-Mod forum and ask them.

Running a dedicated or local server from your pc doesnt cost anything on steam. Check the tools section next to games. Install the dedicated server for garrys mod.

Forwarding the ports on your router would be easy and free and require no extra software.
