astro a40 sound and mic issues

Hi, I recently bought the astro a40 headset with the mixamp pro. However i am hating them at the moment as the sound constantly cuts in and out while in game (csgo). Recently it cuts out as soon as the game starts (fine in menu) and doesnt come back. I tab out and it works fine, tab back in and stops. So turn off the mixamp then turn back on again. The sound comes back sometimes but my mic stops working. Yes i have downloaded all the updates for the mixamp.
Can anyone please help? Otherwise i will return them. Any other good headset? thinking logitech g430
