Tutorial: Guide on How to Record, Edit, and Compress Let's Plays and Other Video Game Playthroughs
Hello guys,

I made this tutorial on "How to Record, Edit, and Compress Let's Plays and Other Video Game Playthroughs" video as I'm moving on to Magix Movie Edit Pro 2015 and if this software is good enough I'll be leaving VirtualDub and Handbrake, two freeware that have served me well these past three years or so. I made this so I won't forget how I did things just in case I want to return to using these two again.

Anyway, here's the guide:

Helpful links are provided in the description box (where to get the freeware). FRAPS however, as most of us know, isn't free but it's a great software that's well worth its price.

Using this how to you can potentially reduce a 60-80GB video to only a fraction of its original size from 1.0-1.8GB for full 3d videos to only 89-280Mb for videos of top-down 2d games (assuming you're making 8- to 40-minute videos at 1600X900 resolution).

I hope someone will find this tutorial on how to record Let's Plays useful. Happy gaming! :sectoid::ethereal::sectoid:

If those are bump ups, thanks! I'm pretty sure this will prove useful for people who use FRAPS --- the amount of GBs shaved off (while still maintaining HD quality) is stupendously large.
