Gta 5 video memory
My graphics card says i have 3072 MB of dedicated video memory but when i go to my settings in Gta 5 it says I've exceeded my limits and that my space is 1567 MB. Any help?

Do you have an integrated graphics card perchance? My computer came with an XGMA 4500, and I've since installed a dedicated video card. However if I open dxdiag and check my available VRAM, it will list the VRAM as the sum of the card's VRAM and the shared RAM set in the BIOS, rather than the actual dedicated memory on the card.

Hey, sorry but is there any way you could explain that a bit simpler?
(i'm not very technical..)
Sure. Basically, I have an integrated graphics card that borrows up to 1.7GB of my computer's RAM, as it has no dedicated RAM of its own. I also have a dedicated video card which has 2GB of VRAM.

However if I check how much VRAM my card has, the DirectX diagnostic tool (dxdiag) will tell me that I have 3.7GB of VRAM instead of 2GB — it's counting both the memory set to be shared with my integrated graphics, and the dedicated memory on the video card.

I was wondering if it's possible your card doesn't actually have 3GB of dedicated VRAM, and that some of the alleged memory is actually shared RAM.
gg all)
Well, the first step would be ideally confirming if your card is supposed to have 3GB of VRAM or not. If it is, and it's not being detected, that's a problem. It could be a hardware issue with the card, or maybe you need to update your video card driver, or it could be a problem with Grand Theft Auto V. I would try asking on the Grand Theft Auto V forum, see if Rockstar can help at all.
okay, thanks :)
so apparently i have this: AMD Radeon HD 7620 G + 8600M Dual Graphics
and it is intergrated.
i still don't really know what to do
So, from what I can tell the Radeon HD 7620G does not have any dedicated memory. It relies on sharing your computer's RAM. What is most likely happening is that Grand Theft Auto V is monopolizing the RAM, leaving less than normal to be shared with the video card.

All I can suggest is lowering the settings/resolution. I'm sorry.
well, nevermind, thanks anyway :)
Same I am having the same issue. This happens after the update . My game runs smoothly before the update . Now, it runs smoothly for a few minutes but starts to shutter .. I think shared memory is used instead of dedicated memory .. Let me know if someone found the solution .. I've a Gtx 470 1.2gb but in gta it is showing 3070 video memory .. help anyone ?
