Yes, they do.
One example; as part of the Community Ambassador Badge, one of those is "Set your real name on your Community Profile". Now u can remove your name from there once it's been done ;) But yea just from that (as I couldn't even remember) I can see that must be true.

open it with a notepad you will see many and choose which is your's
While it CAN be possible for your unique account name to be exposed, your other info, such as what u fill out when first making the account won't be. You can't look that up and you can't change it, aside from email & password at your discretion.
