Bought a game CD-code already used, is it possible to fix? (want a support staff to answer)
So today I was at our local charity/thrift shop and bough Civilisation V.
But apperently I did not notice it required steam Connection, until now when I installed it. So the person whome have given away the game had ofcourse activated this code.
So does anyone know how to fix this problem or atleast find the person through the activation code? as I almost see it now it's a clearly total lost from my part.

The only thing you can do is to take it back where you bought it .
The code was used - there's nothing you can do about it. The problem with buying any used computer game within the past 3-5 years, many have started to require some kind of DRM-online check (code). A lot will link with Steam or their publisher's site (such as Origin). If the code was used, that's it. Nothing more you can do about the used code.

You'll have to buy the game or you can try to contact the publisher and see if they'll sell a new code to you (may be cheaper than buying the game all over again).

In your current situation, I'd see if you can return the game since the code was already used - the game is worthless to you since you can't activate it.
