Cannot verify my card on the steam market

After adding funds to my steam wallet and buying some simple counter strike guns off of the market, it said i either need to verify my credit card or wait a few days. i chose to try to verify my card, but i couldn't find the authorizations, so I decided to wait. When it came to the time when I was able to buy again, it bumped up the time another week! It has done this three times now. I just want to be able to buy off of the steam market. Any tips?

i know your pain. I used one of those american express cards which are like gift cards. I took 50 out of 100$ from it. It's not an actual credit card so i didnt know how i was supposed to get the authorization, this happened yesterday so i can wait til the 28th to do so
