Steam dictionary
Eveerytime i reboot my computer, i have to goto steam settings > downloads and select a steam dictionary that is my external hard drive.

NONE of my games are on C drive so i have to do the above steps EVERY time i boot my computer.

any ideas?

It's that your external drive likely changes its letter every reboot; or that its disconnection is enough.

I'd not use an external drive to play games with anyway.

I never DC the hard drive, its always drive D

You need to check the settings in your computer Bios. check to see if there is a network setting for assigning hard drive letters. If so unless you are running NOS drives just set it to auto. Also make sure your hard drive is not is slave mode if so set as master. Check you boot priority, make sure The hard drive is at the top of the list with the dvd/cd drive second.. Also you may wish to assign the hard drive a designated letter this could help stop this issue. basically your computer is trying to load a library that it erases at close of the computer.
