Buying/Playing Games Internationally
Hey guys,
I have a couple dollars in my steam wallet from steam gift cards. I live in South America (Venezuela) and I bought the cards from the US and redeemed it here (and it worked). My question is, if I were to buy a game in Venezuela from my Steam Wallet, would I be able to play it again anywhere else in the world? Or is there region restrictions or something with some specific countries? (with the tax problems and all).
Thanks!

In depends on the game. When you buy a game it'll say in the store page and in your shopping cart etc whether it is region locked to your current country of residence. When you see such a message, it will mean you cannot play that game in regions outside of the countries listed in that list. Most games don't have that restriction and if you do not see if when purchasing the game or on the store page for that specific game, you can play it in any country with no restrictions.

Hey guys, thanks for all the feedback, I really appreciate it.

I see a lot of posts on the interwebz however, claiming that Steam has indeed made all games region-locked because they don't want you to buy a game cheaper at one place, then redeeming it at another place where the price would've been higher. Some other forums states that this only applies to countries like Russia because of their unstable currency or something.

See for yourselves and let me know your input on this, thanks!
