Steam Trojan Virus
Hi Guys, I need you help, today when I want to start Steam like all the days windows popped out a window with the message that had eliminated the .exe file of the folder where Steam is installed. I did not give a lot of importance, but seconds later my antivirus threw an emergent window showing the following message.

http://store.steampowered.com

Yeah, sorry, it's in spanish but there are the following words

Objeto - Object
Infección - Infection
Proceso - Process

I don't know if it's my antivirus, or it's Steam, or i'ts a "false positive"

Please, help me, I will be gratefully with you

Thanks for reading! :3

I also have avast! and my .exe has gone missing too. My avast is set on silent mode so it would never have shown me that box. I'm in the process of updating avast now. Also, in the program files for Steam, if I try and make a duplicate of the 'steam.exe.old' (in attempt to remove the .old and use that), then it instantly gets deleted.
its a false positve add it to your exceptions list in the settings

Also be careful, some trojan software disguise themselves as Steam.exe .

But in this case it seems like you are ok.

Make sure Steam isn't blocked in your firewall/ is allowed.

Also make sure you go into avast and tell it to ignore Steam.
