Mount and Blade Warband invalid activation code

I recently bought Mount and blade and when i go to activate the activation code it says its invalid. I tried coping and paseting but it still did not work please help

Where did you buy it from?

I bought it from steam

Then you dont need to activate it, it will automatically go into your library or your inventory. What error message did you get?

I got that it is invalid and i also cant activate my Napoleonic Wars DLC either

If you bought it directly from steam, there is no need to activate it. It will already be in your library. Where are you getting the code from?

Some games still require a product code to be entered. You can see the code by selecting the link on the right hand side of the library when you select a game that has one. When you start the game a little pop up will come from the bottom right corner saying something like this product may require a special key/code click here to see it.
