Extremely slow download speed, UK ISP BT

So for the past month or so i have been getting seriously slow speeds (only with steam), im talking down in the BYTES type speed, 90bytes to 500kbs type speeds, whilst every other application i download over 5mb without any issues atall.

I have tried everything, turning off firewall, port forwarding, changing download location (hell i actually got 1mb dl when i switched to Australia for fun), nothing works.

So i am wondering if there is any issues between UK ISP BT and Steam? i have tried steam support on twitter but just get completely ignored.

I spoke to them before and they said they do not throttle any connections.

Do you have another device with Steam on it to test, or another connection like a different wifi network or cell data wifi hotspot?

Also Steam support only uses its own slow ticket process

Do you play any online multiplayer games? If so have you had any problems with them as well?

Its exaclty the same on my other pc on my network, and as i have stated everything else downloads or online gameplay is 100% perfect, its just the download speed on steam, like i said everything else is 5mb+ constantly

Well I'm out of ideas besides testing a different connection/isp to narrow the problem, b I guess go ahead and file a support ticket and try to keep finding solutions in the meantime as it will be a long wait.

i have the same problem now....download speed drops to 0....only on steam...the rest works ex torrent or any other...
