Shadowplay on Nvidia 755m GT (not allowed)
I discovered this months ago and it still bothers me. One of those questions that feels stupid, but I have to ask anyway.
Browsing forums, I found a trick to run Shadowplay with my graphics card (in subject line), even though it is not offered by default. Despite this, it runs shadowplay and records gameplay just fine. However, I figure that if my graphics card doesn't allow Shadowplay by default, there must be a good reason for it.
So, my question is: am I in danger of damaging my system by using an on-board video recorder for a card that technically doesn't support it? Would I be more likely to harm the laptop recording newer/more demanding games versus older ones?
I'm using a Lenovo Y410p in case that's important information. My understanding is that the 755m GTX supports Shadowplay, but mine doesn't.
Thanks community!

It's actually a GT, not GTX.
Only the GTX videocards are supported.
Not that this has anything to do with Steam.
