Bought 3rd person game, not 1st P, can I gift it?
as the title says, I bought a 3rd person game, the Just Cause pkg. I missed seeing that it was 3rd person, which I don't play. Haven't played 3rd P since the ORIGINAL tomb raider. I don't want my money back, because it was my mistake, but is it possible for me to uninstall the game and gift it?

Once activated on one account you cannot delete it(without Steam Support as with such cases related to regional locking) nor gift it to someone else.

Thanks. I was afraid of that. Shame I can't just give it away but it's my fault.

you could ask for a refund right?

And most likely not get one as Valve has a "No Refunds!" policy.

If it's only been 1-2 days and you haven't played it at all and don't have many past refunds, you could always try and ask nicely. The policy is there so they can say no if they want to but in my experience they have usually been quite good about refunds as long as there has been an understandable mistake (I have heard more ppl say the opposite unfortunately). But unless you have a better reason than "I don't play 3rd person games anymore" due to personal preference(?), well then yeah, I guess it's less likely they'll refund you.

While that's preferrable, the policy breaks only if you've played it for more than an hour.
As long as it's under that, it should mostly be fine.

True you are, Teutep! I have been refunded for under 2 hours (it was idling!) before though so I suppose it'd be better just to ask whenever unsure. Not much harm in asking for one unless you do it constantly ;)

Well, I just tried to request a refund. Steam errored re: Zero size object. Wonder if they have a request scanner that pops up that message if it detects "refund" in the subject or body lol (just kidding, hope I don't get banned)
