Bump...
I'm having the same problem. Any game I try to download gets the "download corrupted" BS come up. I've tried everything, including deleting the cache, so I'm hoping this is Valve and not us.

It sounds like you've got bad sectors on your hard drive so once it tries to write to a specific area of the disk it fails to generate readable data (hence the corrupt). Run a disk tool to validate the state of your hard drive as if it detects the bad sectors it'll mark them so that you will not use them (which should allow your downloads to finish).

Try try repairing the Steam Service:

Exit Steam.
Click Start > Run (Windows Key + R)
Type the following command:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\bin\SteamService.exe" /repair

(If you have installed Steam to another path, please replace C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam with the correct path.)

This command requires administrator privileges and may take a few minutes.
Launch Steam and see if your downloads now work

If that doesn't work try changing your Download Region:

Go into "Settings" in your main Steam window
Go to the "Downloads" tab
Go to the middle where it says "Download Region"

Pick somewhere else nearby but different than the current option.

The only thing left I can think to try is delete all the local files associated with the games you are having trouble updating.

Try reinstalling steam and see if that helps any. Also try clearing cache and cookies from your computer using CCleaner. I had a similar issue, it worked.
