Are you sure you're not hooking the cord to your PC's integrated GPU, incase it has one? If you're not sure, what's the computer model assuming it's pre-built ?
I just want to ask. When I connect VGA cable to my main monitor from graphics card port it doesn't work, so maybe it is problem because my HDMI port is too from graphics card port.
Too what? Far?
Then it's probably an integrated GPU you're shoving the HDMI cable to; which would explain the no signal.
