Steam Guard not sending emails to my live.com address?
I installed steam onto a new hard drive and got a notification from steam guard saying I need a code. I've been checking my emails every so often (yes spam/junk too) and nothing has shown up.

I've made a support account and submitted a ticket (waiting nearly 24 hours for a response now) and made this second account so I can post here.

Is there anything I can do to resolve this issue faster? A few google searches has turned up with nothing.

Edit: The emails showed up in my deleted folder if anyone else is having the same issue I advise you do the same

Hotmail, AOL and Yahoo had these issues before Live is ultimately the same as Hotmail. While the issue is not as common now. You can change your e-mail provider to something else.

You could try doublechecking your spam folders.
Alternatively, see if you can whitelist this:

Hotmail (Live, Microsoft, etc) has been known to have issues receiving Steam Support emails due to restrictive spam filtering.

Check the settings for "whitelists" and such, spam, filters, etc.

Try using a different email. Or contacting Live support and asking them how to get the support emails through.

I've found what was wrong. Steam emails were going straight into my deleted folder instead of inbox/junk. Never had that happen before.

Thanks for the reply
