Installing Steam games on Google Drive
Do you guys know if it's possible to install Steam games on Google Drive? I'm having trouble getting enough disk space on my laptop to install one of my games normally.
If so, could you refer me to some links about it/how to do it? Thanks in advance, guys.

No. Not possible. Also a bad idea as you would need literally minutes just to start a game.
The game files must be on your harddrive, everything else is not fast enough.

Never use cloud storage. Ok Steam uses a form of that but its for saving game data and preference and it is directly to do with Steam and not requiring another account and password.

You could buy a nice NAS Drive and plug it into your router. Much better than a USB drive. And about $150 or so for 1-2 TB.

..also, in addition to what has been said above, services such as gDrive and Dropbox sync with your PC, so you'd still need the space on your laptop for that, thus defeating the purpose.

I would highly discourage sym-linking over a network, and USB 2 is not really the fastest for data I/O.

Your best bet would be to buy a bigger laptop hard-drive, and then ghost an image of the current drive onto it (and then use something like partition magic to increase the partition to fill the disk).

Ohh, okay gotcha. I didn't realize the speed issue that would arise there, as well as it syncing with my computer anyway (duh).

Yeah it's been seeming like I'm just gonna have to buy a bigger SSD.
All righty, thanks so much, guys.
