How to tell if my friend blocked me

As far as I know, a friend can block you without removing you from their friendslist. This creates problems and mistrust. I got into a fight with a friend about 2 months ago. I want to resolve the problem and talk to them. They only get on once a week and I seem to miss them. Yesterday, I checked to see if they were on, they appeared offline to me. Today, I see they were on yesterday playing a game during the time I checked. How can I tell if they are blocking me from seeing them online? I need to know if I should just give up on this friend or not.

Can you send messages to your friends if they have blocked communication. Or will it allows you to send messages but they will not receive them?. I can see them online and what game they are playing but I'm getting no reply :(. It's a good friend and it's sad feeling that they are ignoring me or blocked me thanks guys.

Might be late but you can try add them, if it says they have blocked all communication then they blocked you, you can ask there friends if they can contact them for you, you can only do that if your friend didn't set their profile to privet. But if they blocked you, they blocked you for a reason, I had a friend do that to me, and when I got back in contact, nothing was the same, I recommend not talking to someone if they blocked you.

They can block you even if there on your friends list. If they have blocked you look on there profile. If your blocked you will not be on there profile friends list if you click on friends on there profile. If your blocked you will not be able to post a comment on there profile or there screenshots. If your not blocked and you cannot post a comment on there profile they may have that disabled so check if you can post a comment on there screenshots if they have any. By post a comment i mean check if there is a comment box available for you. They will also not respond to msgs if your blocked they will send from your end but they will not receive them.

If you wanna check if your blocked without letting them know or friending them. Check there screenshots and if there is a comment box available then your not blocked. If there is no comment box available then you are blocked.

If you block someone there name will go to the bottom of your friends list marked in red, you then have the chance of unfriending them or leaving them there, keep in mind on there end you are on there friends list not marked in red you can be online on there end but you will not receive anything they msg. Same applies for the other person. If you block someone they will no longer be listed in your friends list on your profile to you or anyone else who looks. They will only be on your friends list if you have not removed them. And there is a difference between friends list and your profile friends list.

If your not blocked it might be one of the following:

• He/she might be afk.
  
• He/she might be busy.
  
• He/she might be ignoring you.

Users can set them selves to offline they can even set there account to not go online when starting steam so your friends do not see your online yet you can still play games online but your status is set offline. Im not talking about offline mode. If your in offline mode then steam has no connection to the internet.

Ahhh dw there is a user called st4ck i think thats his name and he has a higher steam lvl then palm.

If you send someone a friends request it will show up at the bottom of your friends list as a sent invitation and there name will often be offline, you can see if there online or not by checking there profile if it is not private. If they decline it then there name will no longer be at the bottom of your friends list as a invitation.

Thats not what he/she was asking. He/she was asking how to find out if your blocked or not. I answered that quite clearly.
