Far Cry 4 not supported, Ubisoft Recommends asking for refund
I purchased far cry 4 a few days ago, installed it, noticed it was crashing on start. I spent the last 3 days trying to figure out what was wrong, long story short, it was processor that was not supported for the game. I cannot afford to upgrade it nor do I really want to upgrade it for just this one game. It's the only one showing this issue in my library. How would I go about contacting a representative to get a refund?

Steam doesn't offer refunds.

You can ask support

You should attach the documentation you got from Uplay on the steam ticket.

Before you buy a game read the minimum system requirements. Steam will not give you a refund because your pc doesn't meet the Posted minimum

FWIW; I can't play FC4 either. My GPU does not support DX11 and my pc is too old to bother upgrading. But, I did read that on the games store page and as a result, did not buy the game.

What kind of CPU do you have when it's unsupported? Oo

Unfortunately this was over the phone though i have submitted a request for a typed version of recommendation of a refund.

You won't get a refund for that. You should have checked the system specs before buying.

Out of interest, what is your CPU?

They're going to tell you to ask Ubisoft for a refund.

Well they shouldn't as he has had no business with Ubisoft and they've had no money from them. They've had money from Valve.

Ubisoft has to initiate the refund as it does not fall under steam's refund policy.

Guessing I'll need to give ubisoft another phone call again *sigh* I was told by an ubisoft representative before buying for another ubisoft related issue that my sesytem would run it perfectly as i had not other refernce to go on at the time.

What CPU do you have?

AMD A4-5300 APU
Cathulhu 24 ENE 2015 a las 15:13
That's a dual core and really does not meet the system requirements. FarCry 4 requires at least a quad core CPU.
Whoever told you it would run the game was bonkers.
