Trying to add my brother on steam, can't find him

My brother has joined steam and i'm trying to add him on my friends list and i aren't showing on his and vise versa, any ideas?

Another method is to do what I did and try to find him through a mutual friend on steam. NOTE: this one only really works if your brother is using a profile name specific enough that you can recognize him intstantly.

Strangely enough, when I search for Aborbentsolid on the friend list, this user is the only one that shows up, and shows up right away.

They are probably searching for each others account names.
