Can't Login After Password Reset (Help Needs Help)

This may not be the "right" place for this Help request, but due to the nature of the apparently insurmountable error barrier, this is my last resort. My Steam Community profile is inaccessible because my password suddenly stopped working, and after I requested a password reset I can't log in (and there is no help for this issue on that page!).

The image verification is very easy to read, no mistake there. The error message claims I need to submit a password of at least five characters…and the password I'm trying to enter is nineteen characters long! I've attempted to mount this hurdle eight times, and have fallen flat on my face each and every time (without getting a password mismatch error).

How might I be able to log in since my login is "broken?"

you are resetting a password for a support account not your steam account.

if you are still logged in to steam
steam>settings and change password.

or
steam>change user and try from the login screen.

you are logged in to steam at the moment ,I am assuming that is another account than you try to reset.

??? I may have screwed up (my coffee hasn't awakened me yet). It's Steam Support Login, not Steam Community. I enter nineteen characters, and the response is [verbatim]:
"The password you entered is too short. Please enter a minimum of 5 characters."

I know this is Steam Community, not Steam Support, but Steam Support is inaccessible to me; I can't GET help from the specific site I'm having trouble with BECAUSE of the nature of the issue. I'm caught in a Catch-22 situation, between Scylla and Charybdis. Do you APPRECIATE the irony that I need help with Help?

Here's exactly how I screwed up in the first place: Before I requested a password reset, I failed to enter the correct data from my encrypted password spreadsheet, entering my Steam Account Password on the Steam Support profile page thingie…but, now that I've screwed the pooch, it seems to WANT to stay screwed. That it happened in the first place is my faul;t, but now I can't fix the result, and THAT's what I'd like help with, please.

Cono: What language is that? It's not Spanish I can make sense of...I will cut? string? cord? IF you meant to say, "Estaré piola," that is.

if you did not have a ticket open an option is making another steam support account.

I think you may have used caracters that that system does not like.

KISS for the next password is required I think to avoid bugs.

Thank you, spoof. I have a sneaking suspicion that it's not a character per se, but the POSITION of the character. I'll get back to you after I try a different string without that character in any position (the characters in question have successfully been used before, but the error cropped up when I transposed them for the reset.

you probably need support because you cant change your 26+ strong steam password :)

THANK you, Spoof. My thoughts in my last entry were indeed correct. The site does not LIKE the < symbol in the first position. The new password does not use that symbol, and it works now. Again, thanks.
