CS:GO - No Steam Logon - Crashing To Desktop - No Error/Warning
I will be in a game and my CS:GO client will close/crash straight to the desktop with no error message or anything. The only information I am certain of is the No Steam Logon message that pops into the chat of the server that I crashed from (which I do not see, but players tell me that that's what happens after I crash). This can happen up to 3 times per MM map.

I have read many posts on many forums about people having this issue. Either none of them found a fix, or they did and didn't go back to update their post with it.

Typical things I am doing when the client closes/crashes:

Something went wrong while displaying this content. Refresh

I have the same problem man.
I tried lowering the settings and everything. I still can't get it to run steady. It just randomly happens in game. If anyone knows a fix for this please tell me!

GPU - AMD HD 7870
CPU - i5 4570
RAM - 8GB DDR3
OS - Windows 8.1

I promised myself I would come back and update this if I figured my problem out since so many threads have been abandoned without a fix update.

My Fix:
- I replaced my GTX 650 with a GTX 970 and the crashing stopped..
- I had no reason to suspect it was my 650, only steam games were crashing
- I don't know if it was over heating or some other unknown issue
- I don't know why this caused a "No Steam Logon" message to appear in the server chat

I have read SO MANY posts by other users with VERY similar problems, if not the exact same.. I hope this is a simple (and hopefully cheap) fix for anyone reading this that didn't realize

Hi! Sorry for waking up this thread. I have same problem.

So game just goes straight to desktop without any errors. No idea why.
Ppl i have been playing with says they see when i "leave" from the server. "No steam logon."

This is my setup atm.
GPU-Asus R9 290X DirectCU2 with Accelero IV Extreme cooler
CPU-i7 3770K @4.5GHz
RAM-8GB 1600MHz DDR3
Motherboard-Asus Maximus IV Gene-Z/Gen3
OS-Windows 7 64bit

Atleast pretty new GPU so not gonna buy different, there has to be another way.

Kinda often (not always) like 70% of those crashes happen when i use my USB mic. (Blue Snowball) In game voice chat.

Okay, maybe got it fixed by changing Global Shadow Quality to "Very Low" :)
Will update here more later after more testing. Now one matchmaking without crashes.

Hi man!

This is not happening to me anymore, been a long time so i don't even remember what fixed it, maybe the biggest fix was moving to Windows 10, i don't know, want to help cuz that gave me head ache but sorry can't help more because i can't remember.

Check your graphics drivers that they are not beta ones and get lastest WHQL one and also same thing about Geforce Experience :)
Happy gaming and hope i helped! :csgoanarchist:
