Idle Master ? Is it cheating ?
So this idle master app has been doing the rounds and im trying to figure out if its against steams eula to use it for those of you who dont know Idle master simulates you playing your steam games so you can get card drops when you are not playing. Is it against the rules ? is it cheating?

Yes it's cheating and it messes up your steam account hours played so everyone knows you are cheating, technically it's against the rules but no one as of yet has been punished for it.

Use it at your own risk.

Well if you have more hours in the game than a 2 week period can hold then... probably you're cheating :P Or you're Doctor Who, in which case ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that's awesome!

Use at your own peril

I've literally just stumbled across it as well whilst looking for 3rd party tools for Steam.

Are you sure that this is caused by Steam Idle Master?

How about you just do it manually; without cheating?

Looking up apps to somehow fool the Steam client is generally not a good idea.

Why you need a 3rd party program for this? You start the game and leave it running. Go jogging, to party with your friends or whatever. You will get the card drops regardless if you play or you have just the menu opened. If you plan a 2 weeks run though make sure you have a reliable power supply - if you own something like DiabloTek, you can set your house to fire.

This is not cheating is just a stupid thing to do. We play games to enjoy and not for cards or make a record in game times. I also have near 500 hours in Skyrim, but you can believe that I didn't just scratched my own butt during this time. :rayne:
