ADVANCED WARFARE DIRECTX PROBLEMS

I downloaded advanced warfare last night, went to play this morning and went to play and its said DirextX has an unrecoverable problem as soon as I start the game and wont let me play and its reallllllllly frustrating hope i didnt just waste my money, if anyone can help that be awesome! almost forsure my computer has all the requirements for the game

Usually caused by outdated video and/or audio drivers.
If you are almost sure, maybe you should list your system specs so we can verify if your PC does in fact meet the system requirements.

Your video card will support Hardware DirectX 11.2

it says my directx version is 11 is that not high enough for advanced warfare and if not what do I need to do, and could you dumb it down, im not that savy on here. THANKS FOR THE HELP!!

It says that you have DirectX11 installed, not that your videocard can use it. Just tell us what videocard you have and we can tell you if it's DirectX11 capable.

I looked for it, all i could find is that it is
ATI Radeon HD 4350
Driver version is 8.620.0.0

Ok, that is what i wanted to know. That videocard is NOT DirectX11 capable, it is not able to run the game. Even if it would support DirectX11, it would not offer enough performance to run it at playable speed.
Your PC does not meet the system requirements, that's why you have problems.

You actually wasted money buying a game you can't play.

Damn.... Thanks alot for the help. Do you have if steam does refunds ? even if the money goes toward steam credit?

You are not eligible for a refund. You can try it, but they could simply say no. Maybe they'll give you one out of good will, but they are not required to do so.
It's not Valve's fault that the game doesn't run on your PC, it's yours. You didn't read/understand the system requirements before you bought the game.

I have a fairly new computer just figured it would work.... last question is it possible to update video drivers or no?

Sure, but that won't make the videocard compatible. It's a hardware thing. I don't know what you mean with fairly new, but that videocard was released 6 years ago. In computer time that's ancient.

One thing you have to remember when you buy games on your computer is that technology is updating pretty fast these days. They are pushing pc gaming to the extreme. If you are not willing to spend the money to buy a high end gaming computer, you're better off buying a console. One I would recommend is the ps4. It's running cod advance warfare at 1080p compared to the xbox 1 at 720p. Sony really did a great job at making a great system for next gen games. That way you won't have to worry about compatibility problems.
