How can I contact Steam support directly?
In the Steam client the support functions don't work. I'm unable to get beyond Step 1 after making all choices from the pull down menus. Nothing at all happens to get to Step 2 and I can't find an actual "Contact Us" link to get around this to contact an actual Steam support person.

There is no other way to contact them, try using another browser.

I tried going to the Steam site using my Internet browser but it seems identical to the Steam client in how it handles Steam support requests which currently are not working at all. I also searched my emails for any way to contact actual Steam people but found no "Contact Us" link like many other sites have. Is there no way to contact Steam at all or get to the point of actually being able to send in a ticket to get the help I need?

What can be done if Steam support is totally unresponsive in every way I've tried? I don't know of any other ways to get Steam help.

I don't think you can contact support through Steam's browser in the client program.

How can I contact Steam if not with the Steam support links in the client program. All attempts I've made to find ways to contact Steam on their website and in emails they sent to me have been futile. I haven't found any way to contact them that works.

It's really frustrating when support provided by Steam fails to work and they don't provide other ways to contact them. It's as if they really don't care about us or want to actually help us. Maybe all they care about is if we keep buying games through the Steam client but if that client is not working right and I can't get through to Steam support to fix what's broken, what can I do beside ask for help in this forum?

I just tried it in Firefox, it works fine for me. I pick a game (or Steam) and select an option for the two dropdowns, and then Step 2 appears below it.

I don't have Firefox. I must use Microsoft's Internet Explorer provided to me in Windows 7. Is there no way for me to get to Step 2 without Firefox?

Just tried it in IE and it worked. Chrome worked too.

Maybe you have a browser addon that's interfering with it somehow? :tipheal:

I have no browser add ons. I only have MS Internet Explorer version 11. I have nothing at all that Interferes with Steam's software. Steam support function in the client just doesn't work.

Since you are able to contact Steam, can you ask them to contact me by the email address they have listed for my Steam account? I can't seem to find any way at all to contact them or get their attention to get help I need.

A user cannot submit a ticket on behalf of another user. Are you willing to try downloading another browser to see if it works?

Can you do a screenshot of you trying to use support via the client, because I don't think it is possible and it may give us a clue as to what the problem is.

How do I do screen shots of the Steam support page I have problems with? How could I post such screenshots if I'm able to take screenshots? Also if I did try using another browser, how would that affect the Steam client and all the games it installed that I bought from Steam?

It wouldn't affect Steam in any way. The idea is to try something else if IE isn't working either. Further to HLCinSC, I've never seen a way to use Steam Support via the client either.
