Why can't I trade?

I've been on steam for like a month and I have games on my library but every time I wanna trade with someone it says that in order to trade I NEED games on my library... IT MAKES NO SENSE! Please help :'c

You need to have purchased a game through Steam (so gifts, retail games, keys from other web sites, and free games don't count) at least 30 days ago, but not more than a year ago. You need to have SteamGuard enabled. If you use a new device, you will have to wait 7 days before you can trade or use the market.

I checked everything, steam guard is enable, I have PAYDAY among others that I got from giveaway websites, and still I can't trade :(
One of my friends hever had bought anything from the market until recently, yet he's been on steam for like 4 years and he's been able to trade since he joined.. I don't understand :(

You need to purchase the game directly from Steam (or fund your wallet), giveaways and purchases from retail or other web sites do no count towards the requirement.

As per your friend, the purchase doesn't have to be from the community market, just a game on Steam, or funding your wallet. It's also possible that they changed the requirements since your friend joined, but you definitely need to have spent money on Steam at least 30 days ago to trade. For more information:

Maybe they did change, because when I mentioned the market about my friend, I meant the steam store, he never uses it but he was able to trade. And by Trade I mean trading cards though.. I can't buy anything from the store, I'm only 14 and don't have money or a credit card to add money on my steam :(

I'm sorry, but with the current restrictions that's the only way to trade, including the Steam cards you get by playing games. Maybe ask your parents to add a small amount of money to your Steam wallet. Or they could use a credit card to purchase a game that is on sale for a very low price, I have seen some go for as low as 27 cents. Then you would have to wait the 30 days for the restriction to lift. Sorry I couldn't help more.

Sure. Bad rats: the Rats Revenge is 27 cents CND, as is GEARCRACK Arena, until November 3rd anyways.

You shouldn't be VAC banned. You would have to have played online on a VAC enabled server for that even to be possible.
