Can't run "verify integrity of game cache"! HELP PLS.

Can't run "verify integrity of game cache"! HELP PLS.

When I click on "verify integrity of game cache" for any game it just gives me a promt. It says "please close any running games or tools"

You can't verify your game cache while running a game.

Do what it says. Close everything you launched from Steam.

Oh sorry forgot to mention that I have closed everything and looked for anything in the "processes" tab of task manager and nothing is there. I've also restarted my computer, pretty sure nothing is open d:

You don't need to go that far, just close anything launched from Steam.

Not sure if you've solved this or not yet?

If not, Steam currently says you're in Space Engineers, which is why it's not running the verification. If necessary, completely close down Steam and reopen it.

I was actually playing Space Engineers at that point. I know for a fact nothing is running when I am trying to do it. There are just 2 games I can't play right now because they are broken.

If you have Curse, close that. Same thing happened to me and that fixed the problem for me.

Thank you SO much for this. This has been driving me mad and I tried dozens of solutions. Who knew Curse chat used Steam?? I sure didn't haha.
