Is it safe to use trainers?
Hello. I have bought Civ: Beyond Earth and I want to use trainer that will give me advantage in Single Player. Is there any chance to get VAC banned or any other sort of ban from steam?
Thanks!

VAC doesn't run on single player games but if you have those files on your computer while you play a VAC-secured server, God help you because you're going to get VAC banned. VAC scans your computer even if the trainers aren't for a multiplayer game it'll still find the files.

So, unless you're really good about installing then uninstalling trainers before you play a VAC-secured game, you'd be fine......probably.

How do I know if the game is VAC secured? Is CIV games VAC secured?
C:BE and other Civ games are not VAC protected.

Usually you check that in the game's store page, on the right you should find a "Valve Anti Cheat enabled" label.

Note that:
• In very few cases the VAC label either was added after VAC's implementation (e.g. CoD: Ghosts) or in some cases still isn't present, so always double check/ask.

• "Single player" doesn't mean "not monitored by VAC" at all. Always double check/ask.

• Be very wary about what these trainers do. If, for any reason, they tamper with VAC even they're not VAC related you'll get banned. Triple check what trainer are you going to use.

Go to the store page click on the game and look on the right side of the store page.
