I have Steelseries 3GC Controller questions

I just bought this controller in New Condition from Gamestop yesterday, as I was having issues with MotionInJoy drivers haunting every controller I plug in. (even while it was uninstalled) I used to use a PS3 controller with their drivers to use BetterDS3, but that progessively got slower and slower to the point where it would no longer function.

On to the point...

1)Downloaded the driver to calibrate and have the vibration function properly
2)Tested it in Device Manager
3)Configured it in Steam Big Picture mode

However, Speedrunners will not detect the controller. Not from Big Picture mode or Desktop Steam. I'm about to go test other games, but so far I have read that you need an Xbox Controller Emulator, and the tutorial linked me to....

Is there really no way to get my controller to function in games, other than to download those annoying drivers?

I asked the guy at Gamestop questions about it, and these are the answers he gave:
---He personally has one. (Was probably just trying to sell me it)
---It will work natively with Windows. ☑
---It will offer drivers online. ☑
---Works with Steam Big Picture mode. ☑
---Works in Steam games seamlessly. ☒

Tested
Dirt 3 (Will allow me to reassign keyboard keys to controller buttons, does not work with the menu)
Worms: Revolution (Allowed me to use right from the Title Screen and the Menu)

I've looked into x360ce, and it seems legit. Although it is using .dll files to get the controller to work. Would this produce a VAC ban on my account? I would use those .dll files in Speedrunners, and possibly VAC secured games.
