PS3 Controller drivers for PC? (No Motioninjoy/BetterDS3)

Almost a year has gone by, and I've been using Motioninjoy drivers on my PS3 Controller, but using it under the BetterDS3. Unfortunately, BetterDS3 has become unreliable as of late, consisting of unresponsiveness, failing to recognize my controller, and overall poor usability.

I have since deleted BetterDS3.

I am looking for an alternative program to use. One that will allow my controller to play Steam games from my Desktop and Big Picture mode. One that also works for Dolphin Emulator would be preferred. I remember seeing a forum post in a game discussion ages ago, with someone recommending another program, and everyone below it quoting him. It may have started with 'X'. (I know, not very helpful.) If anyone knows what program those individuals may be talking about, or has a program that they prefer to use.. feel free to speak up.

That's if you use a USB BT (+2.0) dongle. (example : http://www.geekalerts.com/u/usb-bluetooth-dongle.jpg )
PS3 (Dualshock 3) controller works via Bluetooth. If you don't have a dongle, you can just use the cable along with the driver. Works fine both ways. (I can use both wired + BT)

All you need to do is update the XBOX 360 drivers, unpack SCP drivers, run SCPDriver.exe, install > then go to steam to activate the window, make sure controller is attached. Then hit the Playstation logo button in middle (This should start Big picture mode if steam is active window)
