Buying 2 pack

The gift option isnt selectable.If i buy for myself a 2 pack game will i have 1 copy for myself and another to use in trading?

If you buy a two pack of a game (where the game officially is offering a two pack - As Blade Symphony is) it will automatically add one copy to your Library and a second copy will be put in your Gift Inventory.

At least that's how it's worked for me when i've bought 2 Packs or 4 Packs of games.

You cannot do it as a "gift" though, you just have to buy it normal... (so there is no way to get "both of the 2 Pack" into your Inventory, if that's what you're trying to do).

I want to give someone a copy of this game and then they give me a specific thing they have

Usually 2 and 4 pack versions cannot be purchased as Gifts. If you do not own the game, you can buy it for yourself and you can choose to send the other copies out as gifts right away, or have them delivered to your inventory for a later time. But if you do own the game already, a lot of the time you cannot purchase the 2 or 4 pack versions again.

The /1/ copy you get as a gift can be used for trading. However one will be automatically added to your Library so it cannot be used for trading.

Yeah, same rule for all those multi-packs: one game goes into your library, the additional ones are delivered as gifts.

Now, there is a trick to buy such packs as gifts, but it usually doesn't do what people hope for: they will get one item in their inventory, which adds one game to the account that redeems it, and the remaining items as gifts on the same account.
There is no way to get all games from such a pack as separate gifts.

I think this is something that needs to be changed on steam... don't restrict people on how they want to spend their money. If we want to buy gift version of the multi-packs let us.
